With exception for travelers from India, Bangladesh and the Maldives, all visitors to Bhutan require valid visas. The visas are only issued when a confirmed booking is made through a registered Bhutanese tour operator. At your entry point of embarkment, the visa is stamped on the passport . The visa fee of US$ 40 will be collected by your tour operator when you pay for your tour. All visa applications must reach Bhutan, at least 15 days prior to intended your arrival date. Any Bhutanese Embassies and Missions abroad do not issue visas for entry to Bhutan.

The national flag carriers like Bhutan Airline and Druk Air (Royal Bhutan Airlines), operate several flights per week from Bangkok (Thailand), Delhi, Kolkotta, Mumbai (India), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Singapore, and Kathmandu (Nepal) to Paro Bhutan. The flights offer spectacular views of some of the highest mountain peaks of the world - such as Mt. Everest and Mt. Kunchanjunga.
